Coach Kladis was born and raised locally in Salt Lake City, Utah. He played at Judge Memorial Catholic High School where he led the Bulldogs to state championships in 2000 and 2001, was awarded 2000 Utah High School Lacrosse League MVP, and had the honor of being recognized as the first ever All-American Lacrosse player from the state of Utah.
Rick played collegiate lacrosse at Gonzaga University where he accumulated a record 269 career points with a career average of over 5 points per game, was recognized as a 4 time All-American, 4 time All-Conference Attackman, and the 2005 PNCLL Conference MVP. He graduated in 2005 earning a degree in Business Administration and Sports Management.
Rick became the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Gonzaga University for 3 years while attending Graduate School in the field of Athletic Administration, and discovered his passion for coaching. In 2008, Rick moved back to Utah and coached his alma mater Judge Memorial with Hall of Fame Coach Dave Allen for one season before accepting the Offensive Coordinator position for the Utes under Coach Morris. Prior to the 2012-2013 season, Rick accepted the Head Coach position at the University of Utah and let the Utes for 4 seasons prior to accepting the Director of Lacrosse Operations position, and bringing in the new full-time coaching staff at Utah.
In 2013, Rick took ownership of the Utah Lacrosse Club, and currently serves as the Club Director. Away from lacrosse, Rick is the President & CEO of the Prodigy Media Group.
